Art on the Corner celebrates its 10th year of delivering quality, affordable arts programming to Bay Ridge and southwest Brooklyn communities with a milestone fundraiser concert on February 7th at 4 pm. The concert will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, located at 7420 Fourth Avenue, the home of this dynamic organization which has been the site
"Where Community & Arts Meet" for the last decade.

Artistic Director Rita Pihra-Majurinen states, "This 10th Anniversary Concert acknowledges with thanks all who helped nurture Art on the Corner these past years and celebrates the many opportunities Art on the Corner offers people of all ages to enjoy live music, view art, take part in creative workshops, build community through its Live Performance Meetup group, and other stimulating activities."

The concert features favorite performers of Art on the Corner’s Concert Series including cellist Mary Robb, pianist Keiko Asakawa-Golden, violist Eva Gerard, harmonica virtuoso Jiayi He, percussion ensemble ‘ensemble et al.,’ vocalist Jessica Corbin, pianist Milena Zhivotovskaya, members of Children's Chorus of Bay Ridge, and Good Shepherd musicians Dorothy Dietz, Laura Leib, Greg Leib, Rita Pihra-Majurinen, and the newly-formed Men's Ensemble of Good Shepherd.

The celebration of this vibrant, community-based arts-ministry of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd continues after the concert in the Soul Cafe with more music, provided by Good Shepherd member Roy Johansen, during a champagne reception featuring foods and desserts from local venues. Each ticket holder will receive a complimentary glass of champagne/wine and a plate of food. Additional food and wine will be available for purchase.

To further assist in the afternoon's fundraising efforts, tickets will be available at the event for works created by local artists and artisans, and for gifts from local businesses and individuals that were donated to support Art on the Corner. And...there will be a few surprises too!

Tickets for this event are $40pp and can be purchased securely via PayPal below or by calling the office at Good Shepherd, 718-745-8520. Funds raised will support and further expand Art on the Corner's programming, including developing a gallery space in Good Shepherd's Soul Café. Donations made will also support the beautiful building Art on the Corner calls home. To insure all attendees are comfortable accommodated in the space, tickets are limited. Don't miss out - get yours now!

Noting that Bay Ridge is underserved in terms of arts programming, Pihra-Majurinen encourages neighborhood support of Art on the Corner by attendance at events and through tax-deductible contributions. She says, "Art on the Corner's efforts are coordinated by a volunteer staff - all gifts
go towards producing quality arts events." If you're not able to attend the event, please consider making a fully tax-deductible donation to Art on the Corner. Art on the Corner relies heavily on
ticket sales at some events and on contributions from individuals, like you, to meet its budget.
