a program of original compositions; a suite for octet, While We're Still Young, featuring songs inspired by the children's poetry of A.A. Milne from Milne's 1924 collection, "When We Were Very Young," paying tribute to the classic whimsical adventures of Christopher Robin while giving a nod to timeless jazz composers like Duke Ellington and Gil Evans.

April 25, 2015: BROKEN REED SAXOPHONE QUARTET presents "CRIME JAZZ"
A night of music connected with crime and criminals. The program begins with the theme songs of 1950s detective shows written by Johnny Mandel, Henry Mancini and Nelson Riddle, and progresses to the present day with novel arrangements of rock classics such as Michael Jackson’s, "Smooth Criminal,” and Aerosmith’s, "Janie’s Got a Gun."
